ACCESS Oven Door

History

Gary Harned, President of Culinary Logic, LLC is the inventor of the ACCESS Oven Door.

The ACCESS Oven Door was developed with safety in mind.  When Gary was a father of young children, he observed, as all parents do, that children grab anything stationary to help stabilize themselves while learning to stand and walk.  The "Eureka Moment" for the ACCESS Oven Door was when Gary witnessed one of his children grab the open oven door for this purpose.  Gary realized that there has to be a better way for an oven door to operate.  He thought "An oven door that will roll into the oven itself instead of opening into the middle of the kitchen would improve safety and increase ACCESSibility."

In order to take his idea to market, Gary teamed up with the product design and development firm, OTB Designs & Engineering, LLC.  OTB Designs implemented creative solutions to develop and advance the design of the ACCESS Oven Door.  While developing the ACCESS Oven Door the team realized that, along with safety, there are many additional benefits inherent to this design.  These include but are not limited to, better ACCESS for mobility limited users, better ACCESS in space limited kitchens, and the latest high tech gadget for luxury kitchens.
